C'est l'histoire d'une belle rencontre entre Quentin Kayser et l'association CoCreate Humanity qui a débuté il y a presqu'une année. L'initiative de soutien par la pair-aidance et le plaidoyer en faveur de la santé mentale et le bien-être psychosocial des travailleurs humanitaires de CoCreate Humanity ont résonné chez Quentin qui a lui-même été humanitaire.
Le lundi 4 juillet 2022, Quentin Kayser jouait à Grandvaux (VD) en soutien à CoCreate Humanity et partageait la scène avec l'un des meilleurs harpistes du monde, Alexander Boldachev.
CoCreate Humanity a le plaisir de l'accueillir à nouveau en Suisse le samedi 29 avril 2023 à Lutry, commune de la cofondatrice de CoCreate Humanity. La Grande Salle de Savuit est une salle chaleureuse avec une excellente acoustique.

QUENTIN KAYSER
Voyageur dans l’âme et musicien multi-instrumentiste, Quentin Kayser a développé sa passion pour la musique dès son plus jeune âge. Autodidacte, il s'est mis à composer instinctivement en explorant les sons et les différentes harmonies que lui offraient les instruments qui passaient entre ses mains. Après 25 années d'explorations approfondies au piano, à la guitare, aux percussions, à la flûte bansuri et au chant, Quentin a joué du Handpan pour la première fois en 2011. Le hasard des voyages lui a fait rencontrer un percussionniste de talent, Steve Shehan, qui lui à permis d'essayer ses propres handpans.
Ce jour a été le premier jour de sa nouvelle créativité musicale, rythmique et harmonique. Après 5 ans d'exploration avec cet instrument magique, Quentin décide de faire partager publiquement sa musique, touchant le coeur et l'âme de ceux qui l'écoutent.
La musique qui sort de ses handpans devient son art et sa passion première.
Il sort en octobre 2017 "Hexagon", un premier album auto-produit de 9 titres et en mars 2019 "Healing", un album auto-produit et financé par près de 200 personnes à travers une campagne de financement participatif.
Pourquoi “Healing”?
Interview de Quentin Kayser : "J’ai deux explications qui se rejoignent. En mars 2018, je présentais dans la ville de Nîmes le Handpan à une personne que je ne connaissais pas et qui s’est mise a pleurer à l’écoute de mon jeux musical. Je me rappelle très bien de la sensation qui m’a parcouru et j’ai tenté de la retranscrire avec une mélodie improvisée, j’ai de suite ressenti une énergie de guérison. Cela a été les premières notes de la piste numéro 3 que j’ai appelé "Healing".
La deuxième explication vient de l’intention porté au projet. Je pense qu’une mélodie sortie du coeur, partagée avec amour et écoutée avec beaucoup d’attention a le pouvoir de soigner l’âme de ceux qui la reçoivent. L’intention du projet d’album était devenu clair et donner le nom de "Healing" à celui-ci prenait alors tout son sens."

POURQUOI L I S T E N ? - L ' É C O U T E ?
L'écoute est un élément clé de la musique. En tant qu'auditeurs, nous écoutons la musique pour nous connecter avec l'artiste et leur message, pour nous immerger dans un univers sonore et pour ressentir des émotions. Mais l'écoute est également cruciale pour nous-mêmes, les musiciens. En écoutant très attentivement, un musicien peut comprendre les nuances et les subtilités de son instrument, se connecter avec sa propre créativité et trouver l’inspiration. Avec les années, j'ai remarqué que plus j'apprenais à écouter, plus j'apprenais à jouer. L'un ne va pas sans l'autre.
Cet album est un appel à l'écoute, non seulement pour vous, mais aussi pour moi-même en tant que musicien. Mon intention est de créer une expérience musicale immersive qui invite les auditeurs à se connecter avec leur propre écoute intérieure, à se laisser porter par les mélodies et les rythmes et à ressentir l'émotion que je mets dans chacune de mes notes au Handpan.

This is the story of a beautiful encounter between Quentin Kayser and CoCreate Humanity that started almost a year ago. CoCreate Humanity's peer support initiative and advocacy for the mental health and psychosocial well-being of aid workers resonated with Quentin, who was once an aid worker himself.
On Monday 4 July 2022, Quentin Kayser played in Grandvaux (VD) in support of CoCreate Humanity and shared the stage with one of the world's best harpists, Alexander Boldachev.
CoCreate Humanity is pleased to welcome him back to Switzerland on Saturday 29 April 2023 in Lutry, the commune of one co-founder of CoCreate Humanity. The Grande Salle de Savuit is a warm venue with excellent acoustics.

QUENTIN KAYSER
A traveller at heart and a multi-instrumentalist, Quentin Kayser developed his passion for music at a very young age. Self-taught, he began to compose instinctively by exploring the sounds and different harmonies offered by the instruments that passed through his hands. After 25 years of extensive explorations on piano, guitar, percussion, bansuri flute and vocals, Quentin played the handpan for the first time in 2011. By chance of travel, he met a talented percussionist, Steve Shehan, who allowed him to try his own handpans.
That day was the first day of his new musical, rhythmic and harmonic creativity. After 5 years of exploration with this magical instrument, Quentin decided to share his music publicly, touching the hearts and souls of those who listen to it.
The music that comes out of his handpans becomes his art and his primary passion.
In October 2017 he released "Hexagon", a first self-produced album of 9 tracks and in March 2019 "Healing", a self-produced album financed by nearly 200 people through a crowdfunding campaign.
Why "Healing"?
Interview with Quentin Kayser: "I have two explanations that come together. In March 2018, I presented the Handpan in the city of Nîmes to a person I didn't know and who started to cry when she heard my musical game. I remember very well the feeling that came over me and I tried to transcribe it with an improvised melody, I immediately felt a healing energy. This was the first notes of track number 3 which I called "Healing".
The second explanation comes from the intention of the project. I believe that a melody that comes from the heart, shared with love and listened to with great attention has the power to heal the soul of those who receive it. The intention of the album project became clear then and giving it the name "Healing" took on its full meaning.

WHY L I S T E N ? - L I S T E N ?
Listening is a key element of music. As listeners, we listen to music to connect with the artist and his message, to immerse ourselves in a world of sounds allowing us to feel emotions. But listening is also crucial for us, the musicians. By listening very carefully, a musician can understand the nuances and subtleties of his instrument, connect with his own creativity and find inspiration. Over the years I have noticed that the more I learn to listen, the more I learn to play. The two go hand in hand.
This album is a call to listen, not only to you, but also to myself as a musician. My intention is to create an immersive musical experience that invites listeners to connect with their own inner ear, to be carried away by melodies and rhythms and to feel the emotions I put into each of my notes on the Handpan.
