The UN estimates that there are 1 in 33 people around the globe that are in need of humanitarian assistance and protection. Besides making the necessary financial means available for this huge need, it is mainly thanks to the tireless and dedicated many individuals around the world, who work hard so this task can be achieved. The dedication of the humanitarian workers does not come without a cost: in 2020, 475 humanitarians suffered from kidnapping, injury or were killed at work. Until 17 August, the Aid Worker Security Database lists already 116 incidents that impacted one or several humanitarians this year.
For the 19 August 2021, date of the World Humanitarian Day, CoCreate Humanity (CCH) would like to contribute to this celebration by dedicating the piece of music Vocalise, composed by Rachmaninov, and played by our dear Ambassador Julie Sévilla-Fraysse.
We would like to encourage you to spend a short few minutes listening mindfully, contemplatively and in spirit, supporting all those women and men in the world who put their own wellbeing on the line to help implement this gigantic effort of humanitarian aid.

L'ONU estime qu'une personne sur 33 dans le monde a besoin d'aide humanitaire et de protection. Outre la mise à disposition des moyens financiers nécessaires pour répondre à cet immense besoin, cette tâche peut s'accomplir grâce aux nombreux individus infatigables et dévoués du monde entier, qui travaillent sans relâche. Le dévouement des travailleurs humanitaires a pourtant un prix : en 2020, 475 humanitaires ont été enlevés, blessés ou tués durant l'exercice de leur fonction. Jusqu'au 17 août, la base de données sur la sécurité des travailleurs humanitaires (Aid Worker Security Database) recensait déjà 116 incidents qui ont impacté un ou plusieurs humanitaires cette année.
Pour le 19 août 2021, date du World Humanitarian Day, CoCreate Humanity souhaite contribuer à cette célébration en dédiant le morceau Vocalise, composé par Rachmaninov, et joué par notre chère Ambassadrice Julie Sévilla-Fraysse.
Nous vous invitons à prendre quelques minutes pour écouter attentivement ce morceau, de manière contemplative et spirituelle, tout en soutenant ces femmes et ces hommes dans le monde, qui mettent en jeu leur propre bien-être, et qui œuvrent à ce gigantesque effort d'aide humanitaire.
