CoCreate Humanity (CCH) vous convie à un concert exceptionnel le mardi 14 décembre 2021 à 20h30 à la Salle Théodore Turrettini du Bâtiment des Forces Motrices (985 places) situé Place des Volontaires 2, 1204 Genève, en Suisse.
L'Orchestre Symphonique Genevois (OSG) et Julie Sévilla-Fraysse, sous la direction de Hervé Klopfenstein, seront sur scène pour honorer le travail de la communauté humanitaire et commémorer celles et ceux ayant perdu la vie durant l'exercice de leur mission humanitaire.
Bien que le travail humanitaire fasse partie des activités humaines les plus fondamentales qui soient, il comporte également de nombreux risques.
Les humanitaires ne sont malheureusement pas seulement confrontés à la mort, aux blessures, aux enlèvements et aux deuils des populations affectées pour lesquelles ils sont déployés sur le terrain, mais ils sont aussi confrontés aux mêmes faits avec leurs collègues travaillant dans le secteur.
Considérant ces circonstances difficiles, il est important de ne pas marginaliser ces faits, et que, bien au-delà d'un simple "devoir de prendre soin" (duty of care) commun à toutes les organisations, nous commencions à modeler une véritable "culture du prendre soin" (culture of care) pour l'ensemble des travailleurs humanitaires. La reconnaissance des efforts et du travail fourni par ces travailleurs humanitaires à travers le monde, employés locaux ou expatriés, est absolument essentielle.
En ce sens, CoCreate Humanity propose l'organisation d'un concert de musique classique, en reconnaissant, d'une part, les propriétés curatives de la musique ; et en reconnaissant la musique comme un atout considérable pour relier les individus entre eux, dans un large spectre, et bien au-delà du secteur humanitaire, d'autre part.
CoCreate Humanity (CCH) est une association suisse qui a été créée en août 2019. L'association est une communauté de pairs humanitaires qui soutient les travailleurs humanitaires souffrant de trouble de stress post-traumatique, et autres formes de traumatismes, de burnout, de stress et du deuil. Elle honore la communauté humanitaire et commémore celles et ceux ayant perdu la vie durant l'exercice de leur mission, et témoigne de ce qu'ils ont accompli. L'association appuie ses initiatives en travaillant avec un réseau de professionnels de la santé mentale et du bien-être à travers le monde.
Le concert de cette année marquera le 25ème anniversaire de l'attaque de l'hôpital du Comité international de la Croix-Rouge (CICR), à Novye Atagi en Tchétchénie en 1996, une attaque à laquelle Christoph Hensch - l'un des cofondateurs de CoCreate Humanity - a survécu. L'expérience et le parcours de guérison, à la suite de cet événement, lui ont inspiré la création de l'association.
CoCreate Humanity est convaincue de l'importance d'honorer le travail de cette communauté et de se souvenir de celles et ceux qui ont perdu la vie, marquant ainsi une reconnaissance absolue pour l'ensemble du secteur humanitaire.

BIOGRAPHIES Julie Sévilla-Fraysse
Julie Sévilla-Fraysse est violoncelliste à l’Orchestre de l’Opéra National de Paris. Elle a fait la connaissance de CoCreate Humanity en juillet 2020 par le biais du réseau social LinkedIn.
Musicienne exceptionnelle et talent prometteur de la jeune génération d’artistes de musique classique, elle est considérée comme un nouveau phénomène et rassemble autour d’elle un nouveau et vaste public.
Elle est diplômée du prestigieux Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris et elle a également étudié à la Julliard School de New-York aux États-Unis. De retour en Europe, Julie rejoint la Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth en Belgique en tant qu’artiste en résidence. Elle a reçu l’enseignement de quelques-uns des meilleurs violoncellistes au monde tels que Roland Pidoux à Paris, Gary Hoffman à Bruxelles, Natalia Gutman et Natalia Shakhovskaia à la prestigieuse Académie Internationale de Musique de Santander en Espagne.
Julie Sévilla-Fraysse s’est également produite en tant que super soliste avec l’Orchestre Symphonique d’Anvers à la salle de concert Flagey à Bruxelles, avec l’Orchestre UAEH au Mexique ainsi qu’avec l’Orchestre Camerata Venia dirigé par Gleb Skvortsov.
Julie Sévilla-Fraysse a été nommée Directrice Artistique de CoCreate Humanity en mars 2021, à la suite du concert caritatif enregistré au Rosey Concert Hall à Rolle, en Suisse.
Marie-Françoise de Bourgknecht
Marie-Françoise de Bourgknecht, originaire de Fribourg, a suivi des études de droit à l’Université de Genève et de violon au Conservatoire populaire de Genève. Elle a intégré l’Orchestre Symphonique Genevois (OSG) en 2002 et assure régulièrement la place de premier violon solo depuis 2004.
Avocate de formation, elle a repris la présidence de la Fondation de l’Orchestre symphonique genevois en 2006.
De 2015 à 2019 et sous son impulsion, les concerts d’automne donnés par l’Orchestre Symphonique Genevois (OSG), depuis plus de 40 ans au Victoria Hall dans le cadre de ses saisons musicales, ont été organisés en collaboration avec le Comité international de la Croix-Rouge (CICR).
Ces rencontres musicales ont rencontré un beau succès et ont permis de prendre conscience du lien entre le musicien symphonique et le travailleur humanitaire, qui chacun à sa façon donne un sens à ses actes, avec comme point commun de le faire sans considération aucune des différences de race, de religion, ou de culture.
Soucieuse de poursuivre sur la voie de la musique et de l’humanité, Marie-Françoise de Bourgknecht a répondu positivement à la proposition de CoCreate Humanity d’organiser ce concert anniversaire marquant les 25 ans de l’attaque de l’hôpital de la Croix-Rouge à Novye Atagi en Tchétchénie.
Hervé Klopfenstein
Après une importante activité de flûtiste et d'enseignant de la théorie musicale, Hervé Klopfenstein s'oriente vers la direction d'orchestre.
Directeur Musical de la Landwehr de Fribourg de 1984 à 2002, il est Chef invité de nombreux orchestres en Suisse et à l'étranger : l'Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne, l'Orchestre de Bienne, le Sinfonietta de Lausanne, l'Orchestre de Winterthur, les Solistes de l'Orchestre Symphonique de Prague, l'Orchestre Symphonique de Berlin, etc.
Il dirige des productions lyriques fort remarquées à l'Opéra de Lausanne entre 2004 et 2017, notamment dans le répertoire du XXème siècle. En automne 2009, il dirige la comédie musicale Les Misérables au Théâtre de Beaulieu.
Durant plus de vingt ans, il enseigne la direction d'orchestre au Conservatoire de Lausanne, et à la Haute École de Musique (HEM), institution dans laquelle il a la responsabilité de toutes les formations orchestrales jusqu'en 2009.
De 2009 à 2018, Hervé Klopfenstein est directeur général de la Haute École de Musique (HEM) et du Conservatoire de Lausanne, comprenant pour la HEM, la responsabilité des sites classiques, jazz et musiques actuelles de Lausanne ainsi que des sites de Sion et Fribourg.
Durant son mandat de presque dix ans, il redessine l'identité des écoles, achève l'accréditation des filières Master et il crée avec succès une saison de concerts adossés à la certification des étudiants. Particulièrement soucieux de l'accessibilité de la musique au plus grand nombre, il fait de la médiation de la musique une des forces de l'institution, autant sur le plan académique que public.
Dès 2019, Hervé Klopfenstein poursuit son action au service de la formation et de la production musicale en Suisse romande. Il occupe la fonction de Secrétaire Général de la Fondation Culturelle adossée à la HEM et au Conservatoire de Lausanne. Il assume la direction du concours de chant Kattenburg, et est chargé de la gestion des Lausanne Soloists dirigés par Renaud Capuçon. Il est membre du Comité de l'Association du Concours Clara Haskil et de la Fondation Casino Barrière, en charge des arts de la scène.
En septembre 2019, il reprend la direction musicale de l'Orchestre Symphonique Genevois, tout en poursuivant son activité de Chef d'orchestre à la tête de l'Orchestre Symphonique et Universitaire de Lausanne.
Hervé Klopfenstein est lauréat du Prix Culturel Leenaards 2003 pour son engagement au service de la formation musicale en Suisse romande.

CoCreate Humanity (CCH) invites you to an exceptional concert on Tuesday 14 December 2021 at 8:30 pm in the Théodore Turrettini Hall of the Bâtiment des Forces Motrices (985 seats), Place des Volontaires 2, 1204 Geneva, Switzerland.
The Orchestre Symphonique Genevois (OSG) and Julie Sévilla-Fraysse, under the direction of Hervé Klopfenstein, will be on stage to honour the work of the humanitarian community and to commemorate those who have lost their lives in the course of their humanitarian mission.
Although humanitarian work is among the most fundamental human activities there is, it also involves many risks.
Humanitarians are unfortunately not only confronted with the death, injury, abduction and bereavement experienced by the affected populations for whom they are deployed in the field, but they are also confronted with the same facts with their colleagues working in the sector.
Given these difficult circumstances, it is important that we do not marginalise these facts, and that beyond a simple "duty of care", common to all organisations, we start to model a real "culture of care" for all humanitarian workers. Recognition of the efforts and work of aid workers around the world, both local and expatriate, is absolutely essential.
In this sense, CoCreate Humanity organises a classical music concert, recognising the healing properties of music on one hand; and on the other hand recognising music as a great asset in connecting people across a broad spectrum, well beyond the humanitarian sector.
CoCreate Humanity (CCH) is a Swiss association that was established in August 2019. The association is a community of humanitarian peers that supports humanitarian workers suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, and other forms of trauma, burnout, stress and bereavement. It honours the humanitarian community and commemorates those who have lost their lives while carrying out humanitarian missions and bear witness to their achievements. The association supports its initiatives with a network of mental health and wellness professionals around the world.
This year's concert will mark the 25th anniversary of the attack on the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) hospital in Novye Atagi, Chechnya, in 1996, an attack that Christoph Hensch - one of the co-founders of CoCreate Humanity - survived. The experience and journey of recovery from this event inspired him to create the association.
CCH believes that it is important to honour the work of this community and remember those who lost their lives, marking it a recognition for the entire humanitarian sector.
CoCreate Humanity warmly thanks the President of the Geneva Symphony Orchestra Foundation, Marie-Françoise de Bourgknecht, and the Conductor and Artistic Director of the Geneva Symphony Orchestra, Hervé Klopfenstein, for their trust and precious support in holding this event. Julie Sévilla-Fraysse
Julie Sévilla-Fraysse is a cellist with the Orchestre de l'Opéra National de Paris. She met CoCreate Humanity in July 2020 through the social network LinkedIn.
An exceptional musician and promising talent of the young generation of classical music artists, she is considered a new phenomenon and is gathering a new and large audience around her.
She graduated from the prestigious Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris and also studied at the Julliard School in New York, USA. Back in Europe, Julie joined the Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth in Belgium as an artist in residence. She has been taught by some of the best cellists in the world such as Roland Pidoux in Paris, Gary Hoffman in Brussels, Natalia Gutman and Natalia Shakhovskaia at the prestigious International Music Academy of Santander in Spain.
Julie Sévilla-Fraysse has also performed as a super soloist with the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra at the Flagey Concert Hall in Brussels, with the UAEH Orchestra in Mexico and with the Camerata Venia Orchestra conducted by Gleb Skvortsov.
Julie Sévilla-Fraysse was appointed Artistic Director of CoCreate Humanity in March 2021, following the charity concert recorded at the Rosey Concert Hall in Rolle, Switzerland.
Marie-Françoise de Bourgknecht
Marie-Françoise de Bourgknecht, a native of Fribourg, studied law at the University of Geneva and violin at the Geneva Conservatory. She joined the Geneva Symphony Orchestra (OSG) in 2002 and has been concertmaster since 2004.
A lawyer by training, she took over the presidency of the Geneva Symphony Orchestra Foundation in 2006.
From 2015 to 2019 and under her impetus, the autumn concerts given by the Geneva Symphony Orchestra (GSO), for more than 40 years at the Victoria Hall as part of its musical seasons, were organised in collaboration with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). These musical encounters have been a great success and have made it possible to become aware of the link between the symphonic musician and the humanitarian worker, each of whom, in his or her own way, gives meaning to his or her actions, with the common feature of doing so without regard to differences of race, religion or culture.
In order to continue on the path of music and humanity, Marie-Françoise de Bourgknecht responded positively to CoCreate Humanity's proposal to organise this anniversary concert marking the 25th anniversary of the attack on the Red Cross hospital in Novye Atagi, Chechnya.
Hervé Klopfenstein
After an important activity as a flutist and teacher of music theory, Hervé Klopfenstein turned to conducting.
From 1984 to 2002, he was Musical Director of the Landwehr of Fribourg and guest conductor of numerous orchestras in Switzerland and abroad: the Lausanne Chamber Orchestra, the Biel Orchestra, the Lausanne Sinfonietta, the Winterthur Orchestra, the Soloists of the Prague Symphony Orchestra, the Berlin Symphony Orchestra, etc.
Between 2004 and 2017, he conducted a number of highly acclaimed opera productions at the Opéra de Lausanne, notably in the 20th century repertoire. In autumn 2009, he directed the musical Les Misérables at the Théâtre de Beaulieu.
For more than twenty years, he taught orchestral conducting at the Lausanne Conservatory and at the Haute École de Musique (HEM), where he was responsible for all orchestral training until 2009.
From 2009 to 2018, Hervé Klopfenstein was Director General of the Haute École de Musique (HEM) and of the Conservatoire de Lausanne, with responsibility for the HEM's classical, jazz and contemporary music sites in Lausanne, as well as the sites in Sion and Fribourg. During his almost ten-year mandate, he redesigned the identity of the schools, completed the accreditation of the Master's programmes and successfully created a concert season based on the certification of students. Particularly concerned with the accessibility of music to the greatest number of people, he has made the mediation of music one of the strengths of the institution, both on the academic and public levels.
As of 2019, Hervé Klopfenstein will continue his work in the service of musical education and production in French-speaking Switzerland. He is the General Secretary of the Cultural Foundation of the HEM and the Conservatoire de Lausanne. He manages the Kattenburg singing competition and is responsible for the management of the Lausanne Soloists directed by Renaud Capuçon. He is a member of the Committee of the Clara Haskil Competition Association and of the Casino Barrière Foundation, in charge of the performing arts. In September 2019, he will take over the musical direction of the Orchestre Symphonique Genevois, while continuing his activity as conductor of the Orchestre Symphonique et Universitaire de Lausanne.
Hervé Klopfenstein is the winner of the 2003 Leenaards Cultural Prize for his commitment to musical education in French-speaking Switzerland.
