Le vendredi 30 août 2019, Sébastien Couturier, Christoph Hensch et Hélène Ros signaient les statuts de l'association CoCreate Humanity (CCH) sur un coin de table dans un café genevois.
Il y a quatre ans, nous avons décidé de créer une communauté de soutien par la pair-aidance pour les travailleurs humanitaires en souffrance. L'idée était d'offrir un sas de décompression, un endroit neutre où chacun pourrait parler librement et partager ses expériences avec des pairs humanitaires. La pair-aidance laisse part au savoir expérientiel, un savoir complémentaire à celui d'un professionnel de la santé mentale pouvant constituer un premier pas vers la guérison.
Nous avons loué un petit bureau près de la gare Cornavin à Genève. Un lieu confortable et chaleureux où l'on prend le temps d'offrir un café et des chocolats. Aujourd'hui, ce bureau existe toujours. CoCreate Humanity existe toujours.
C'est avec beaucoup d'émotions que nous réalisons le chemin parcouru et les belles perspectives d'avenir à l'horizon.
Les cofondateurs et les bénévoles de CCH sont des colibris du secteur humanitaire qui font leur part. Au-delà des concepts et des idéaux, nos actions ont rythmé le développement de l'association avec la certitude que les paroles s'envolent alors que les actions demeurent.
CoCreate Humanity existe par les travailleurs humanitaires et pour les travailleurs humanitaires. Ensemble, nous sommes et serons toujours plus forts.

On Friday 30 August, 2019, Sébastien Couturier, Christoph Hensch and Hélène Ros signed the statutes of the association CoCreate Humanity on a corner of a table in a Geneva café.
Four years ago, we decided to create a peer-support community for suffering humanitarian workers. The idea was to provide a neutral place where people could talk freely and share their experiences with humanitarian peers. Peer support is all about experiential knowledge, a complementary knowledge that of a mental health professional, which can be a first step towards recovery.
We rented a small office near Geneva's Cornavin train station. A cosy and comfortable place where we take the time to share some coffee and chocolates. Today, that office still exists. CoCreate Humanity still exists.
It is with great emotion that we realize just how far we have come, and how far we can go in the future.
CCH's co-founders and volunteers are the hummingbirds of the humanitarian sector, doing their bit. Beyond concepts and ideals, our actions have set the pace for the association's development, with the certainty that words fly away while actions remain.
CoCreate Humanity exists by humanitarian workers and for humanitarian workers. Together, we are and always will be stronger.
